M&A transactions involving specialty distributors like wholesalers and MGAs decreased 9.2% to 118 in the first 10 months of 2022 from the same period last year, MarshBerry reported.

Yet, the insurance-focused bank expects that the total number of specialty deals in 2022 should approximate the 153 deals recorded in 2021 after a potential rebound in Q4.
